Mediation Services

Mr. Paradiso, Ms. Taub and Mr. Sinay offer mediation services to represented and unrepresented parties in the midst of a family law dispute.
If you are interested in having one of our attorneys mediate your family law case, please call for more information. A mediator does not represent either party and can provide legal information, but cannot provide legal advice.
What is mediation?
Mediation is a process in which a trained neutral, a "mediator," helps people in a dispute to communicate with one another, to understand each other, and if possible, to reach agreements that satisfy everyone's needs. In mediation, you speak for yourself and make your own decisions. A mediator will not make decisions for you. Mediation is a confidential process.
What are some of the benefits of mediation?
  • Agreements made in mediation come from the participants, not the mediator.
  • If you do not reach an agreement or develop a solution that works for everyone, you can still have your case handled by the Court or resolved in another manner.
  • Agreements made in mediation come from the participants, not the mediator.
  • You can't "lose" in mediation.
  • In mediation, a third party does not make decisions for you and your family.
  • Mediation may save you time and money
  • Mediation provides an opportunity for you to say what's important to you and hear the other person's perspectives
  • Mediation may help you reach creative, customized solutions that work for both parties
  • Mediation may help improve relationships
